It's a Match(a)!
The only matcha latte recipe you need

If there was a "Hot Girl Summer" bingo for the Instagram reel page, beautiful videos of pretty-looking matcha drinks would definitely be part of it. There's just something about the drink that gives you a feeling of "I'm totally in control of my life." Good coffee? An art! Good matcha? An even greater art! Or is it? Or at least that's what some people say. Unjustly!

Maybe you - like many others - are always tempted by the Japanese powder in its beautiful green color, but you are simply too intimidated by how to prepare it. No worries: If you know how, you'll quickly get the hang of it and can easily (should we say) create great drinks with it.

It’s the inner values that count – the many benefits of matcha powder

Matcha doesn't just look extremely Instagrammable , it has actually earned its excellent reputation over many centuries because of the many good things it contains. It is estimated that its preparation method was developed in China as early as the 6th century and the powder is now traditionally produced in Japan, where it is still an integral part of tea ceremonies today.

The ground powder of the tea plant contains numerous valuable antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids. This helps your body to detoxify and eliminate toxins, strengthens your immune system, slows down cell aging and boosts your metabolism - to name just a few great facts. It also contains a lot of theine, which gives you energy and gets you through the day (who doesn't need that?).

Getting thirsty? Then grab your Within Mood Cold Cups and get started.

For your perfect matcha latte you need:

  • 1 small bowl for mixing
  • 1 Matcha whisk/bamboo whisk
  • 1 level teaspoon of matcha powder (preferably organic)
  • Hot water for pouring
  • Milk or a plant-based alternative of your choice
  • For the cold version: ice cubes
  • Pretty glass for serving – e.g. our Cold Cup
  1. Pour the powder into a bowl with about 50 ml of hot water (not boiling, about 80 degrees), stirring constantly with the bamboo whisk until it has completely dissolved and small bubbles have formed on the surface.

  2. Froth about 150-200 ml of milk or alternative and pour it into our cold cup – if you prefer an iced version , add ice cubes first.

  3. Pour the previously prepared matcha over everything.

  4. Put the straw in – ready to enjoy!

By the way: Our cold cups are handmade from glass and come to you in a practical double pack with straws. It goes without saying that they also look good, right?
