Some decorative bowls are not simply design objects. Our large decorative bowl in off-white was designed to be truly useful in your home. Not just useful in one way, but in many. You can use the centerpiece in a variety of ways. With its 44-centimeter diameter, it becomes a focal point on the dining table, sideboard, or kitchen counter. It is handcrafted in Portugal from ceramic in a warm cream-white that visually brightens spaces and brings a sense of lightness.
Matte on the outside, glossy on the inside
The surface of our large decorative bowl in white is matte—at least on the outside. The rough, tactile texture of the ceramic makes the off-white look natural and subtle. The look is understated—unlike shiny porcelain. The inside of the decorative bowl is glazed so that it truly lives up to our design idea of being highly versatile. The glossy surface remains hygienic by not absorbing odors, is easier to clean, and preserves the natural taste of your food. This means you can use it as a centerpiece for magazines, plants, and decorations, but also as a kitchen bowl for fruit, vegetables, and bread.
This described contrast—between tactile and glossy—brings the organic shape to life depending on how the daylight falls on the surfaces. And because each bowl is made by hand, each bears its own subtle irregularities. You can find more about care in the Care Guidelines.
A large centerpiece in matte white—and what you can do with it
Our large decorative bowl in white offers enough space and possibilities to be more than just a decoration:
- On the dining table: as a fruit bowl, bread basket, or filled with a crisp salad
- On the coffee table: for magazines and books (some of you also plant the large centerpiece or use it for your Advent wreath at Christmas)
- In the hallway or on the sideboard: as a standalone design object that gives the room a central focal point
Why did we choose matte white? Off-white is understated and fits into almost any environment. It works with light wood and linen, but also in dark, calm rooms, where the large decorative bowl in off-white becomes a bright accent.
