For us, design meets function. Our interior pieces are made to accompany you for a long time and become part of your everyday life. Our centerpiece does just that. As an organic, sculptural ceramic bowl, it adapts to your home: as a fruit bowl, decorative bowl, key tray, serving bowl, or base for plants and table bouquets. Some fill it with apples, peppers, and lemons. Others with bread rolls, salads, or flowers. In the end, you decide what finds its place inside.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to truly make our centerpiece the center of your everyday life and which size (Small, Medium, or Large) is right for your home.
One bowl, many possibilities – the principle behind our centerpiece
Our centerpiece finds its place wherever your everyday life writes its stories. In the kitchen, it becomes a fruit bowl – filled with apples, bananas, and peaches. In the hallway, it becomes a key tray for your keys, mail, and loose change. And in the living room, it becomes a decorative highlight – styled with branches, magazines, candles, or plants.
Neither the room nor the function is fixed. You decide how to make this versatile design piece part of your home.
As a key tray in the hallway
Keys, sunglasses, letters, loose change – in the smallest size, namely Small, our centerpiece is the ideal key tray that fits on any sideboard and keeps things tidy. Its simple shape allows the decorative bowl to visually recede into the background, bringing more calm to the room.
So that your centerpiece can accompany you for a long time, every detail counts. The inside of the bowl is glazed by hand so that it remains protected even with daily use – especially when you use it as a key tray for loose change and all the little things you put down when you get home.
A little tip: Place the decorative bowl (in Medium or Large) near your mirror, and it will easily become an OOTD helper. In summer, we keep sunglasses, scarves, and caps in it. And in winter, hats, gloves, and lip balm.
As a fruit bowl in the kitchen
In the kitchen, our centerpiece is a fruit bowl, bread basket, and serving bowl all at once. Made of ceramic, it does not absorb odors, remains hygienic, and preserves the natural taste of your food. It is also easy to clean and temperature-resistant. In Medium size, it offers enough space for fruit, vegetables, bread rolls, salads, and herb pots.
As a decorative bowl in the living room
Decorating a bowl on the coffee table or a dresser works best according to a simple principle: reduced, curated. It is better to use a few objects and instead consciously choose a statement piece.
Instead of filling a small bowl with a lot of decor, we prefer to use our centerpiece in Large size. The volume gives individual block candles enough space and draws the focus to itself. All it needs is a few branches. Or you can arrange an ensemble of three candles of different heights in the center.
Another option: Many of you use the bowl as a magazine holder and stack magazines and books in it.
Decorative bowl with or without a foot – what matters when choosing
Whether a decorative bowl with a foot or one that lies flat is better suited depends on the location and the desired effect. A bowl with a base or an elevated foot looks more delicate – and finds its ideal place on a windowsill or a narrow window ledge.
Flat bowls, on the other hand, are easier to place: whether on the coffee table, the kitchen counter, or the sideboard – they blend more easily into the overall picture. Especially when they are in muted colors.
Which color is right? Natural tone or decorative bowl in black
Our centerpiece is available in Offwhite, Beige, Dark Brown, and Black – all four shades have been deliberately chosen to be timeless. A decorative bowl in black sets a clear, calm accent in bright rooms without dominating. In darker or warmer interiors, Offwhite and Beige blend in more naturally and keep the look light. Dark Brown is the earthy middle ground: warm enough for organic settings, dark enough for a certain presence.
A simple guideline: Choose a color that is already present in the room – whether in the floor, a piece of furniture, or a textile. This way, the bowl looks like it belongs, not like a foreign object.
One object for more than one room
The special thing about our centerpiece is that it is absolutely timeless. It comes along – from room to room, from season to season, from function to function. Our ceramic decorative bowls are handmade in Portugal and available in three sizes and four colors. Those who want to combine all three sizes can also find them as a 3-piece set: Small as a key tray, Medium as a fruit bowl, and Large as a decorative bowl.
These are the questions you often ask us
Which size is suitable as a key tray in the hallway?
For a key tray in the hallway, smaller bowls with a diameter of about 25–35 cm are recommended – large enough for keys and loose change, compact enough for a sideboard or console. It is important that the inside is durable and easy to clean.
What do you put in a decorative bowl?
That depends on the location. In the kitchen, fruit and vegetables are suitable; in the hallway, keys and mail; in the living room, candles, stones, dried branches – or simply nothing. A bowl with a good shape does not need to be filled to make an impression.
Decorative bowl with or without a foot – which is better?
Both options have their place. A bowl with a foot or base looks more sculptural and is well suited as a standalone piece on a sideboard. Flat bowls are more flexible, easier to combine, and can be used in different rooms.
